I am a PHD Candidate at the Department of Spanish & Portuguese at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. My research interests include Hispanic literature and film, immigration and colonization in the Southern Cone, feminist and transnational anticapitalist movements, silent film, and archive studies.

I have been teaching literature, film and language for nine years in Chile and in New Jersey. This semester I have a Mellon Fellowship to finish my dissertation entitled Agonías, secretos y venenos: el cine de tres mujeres chilenas frente al archivo nacional de los siglos XX y XXI.

I write fiction, I also give a creative writing workshop, and I am a part of a publishing collective.
